Senior Director of Amazon Advertising & Client Success

Requirements
The Right Candidate has:
– A decade or so in Amazon advertising, with meaningful time inside an agency
– You’ve stewarded monthly budgets exceeding $1M across intricate, multi-brand accounts
– Fluent across DSP, Sponsored Ads, and AMC — and how they work together
– You don’t need a buffer between yourself and a founder or a demanding enterprise client
– Your instinct is to build infrastructure, not just improve what’s already running
– Revenue, margin, and competitive positioning drive your thinking — not just efficiency scores
– You want a seat at the table, not a title that sits two layers from real decisions
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
– Owning Client Relationships at the Senior Level
– Take ultimate accountability for the agency’s most significant client partnerships
– Field escalations when situations are complex, politically sensitive, or high-stakes
– Work alongside squad leads to keep growth ambitions, margin targets, and competitive defense in balance
– Enter key client conversations at moments that require seniority — to resolve deadlock or reshape expectations
– Be the face of strategic credibility when clients need to feel confident in the direction
Defining How We Advertise
– Architect and continuously evolve the agency’s advertising philosophy across both PPC and DSP
– Sharpen our methods for driving profitability, strengthening organic position, and defending client share
– Codify how campaigns are structured, how budgets are deployed, and how we run experiments
– Convert analytical findings into frameworks the broader team can apply consistently
– Elevate the organization from firefighting mode into a place that runs on clear strategic principles
Raising the Bar on Team Performance
– Directly oversee and grow three squad leads
– Hold the line on quality — strategically and operationally — across every account
– Develop senior contributors through coaching, not just direction
– Install the kind of shared clarity that lets a distributed team move without constant escalation
Work conditions
– Fixed base salary USD 5,500–7,500 per month (depending on experience) + a performance-linked bonus tied to managed billable revenue
